Water is life, this is a fact which doesn’t need any discussions. But what if the only source of life is just undrinkable and reeks worse than my socks after a jog? Well, just pouring this down your throat would definitely cause you to get poisoned which in turn could kill you. But what to do if you don’t want to die of thirst?
- Initially, you should filter the water. How to do this is already explained in one of my previous articles.
- If you finished filtering, you should now build a small distillery. For this undertaking, you should take a container where you can boil the water. Now you take a kind of tube which you attach to the container in a 45° angle which will absorb the water steam.
- You have to seal the container so that the water cannot leak anywhere. The tube should be bent kind of abruptly right above the container and lead to the floor.
- Under the tube opening, you have to put another container where the water is collected.
The method is very simple. The water evaporates and flows into the tube as steam. At the bend, the water is condensing and becomes liquid again. It will then run down the tube into the second container. The water in the second container is free of germs and can be drunk without concerns.
