The Color Whisper Lippenstifte by Maybelline New York have been on my wish list for months and months now. The first time I ever heard of them was when I was doing my makeup in the morning whilst watching a couple of videos on Youtube. And believe me when I say that everyone and their dog were raving about these lippies. The only bad news? They can’t be purchased in Germany. And this little fact made these all the more appealing to me. And that was the beginning of my journey in search of the Color Whispers. Two months ago I stumbled over one of them online: “Petal Rose” was the first one of the range I purchased.

The packaging is, as per usual, amazing. Maybelline really know how to design an attractive and appealing packaging. It looks similar to the Color Sensational lipsticks, long and square. The only difference is that the tube is semi-transparent, which is an indication for the finish it gives. The name of the lipstick range is printed on the tube. The packaging alone is a huge plus for the Color Whispers.

The Product | Maybelline Color Whisper Lipstick
The Color Whisper is not intensely pigmented but that’s exactly the thought behind it. It’s a light, shimmery and moisturizing product that is absolutely perfect for an everyday usage. Sometimes I just don’t feel like putting on a heavy bold lipstick. That’s why this is a good option for me. Keep in mind that the product is very moisturizing, which is why it can slip off your lips easily. Be prepared to freshen up a couple times a day. It is definitely something for someone who just doesn’t have the nerve to pull out lip liner, concealer and matte lipstick to create a bold lip. Just one coat of the Color Whisper and you’re good to go.

You can get these goodies on amazon.de for about 12€. Ebay also offers them for about 10€. There are online shops on there that even offer paypal and great conditions for shipping to Germany. I personally bought mine on a Blogsale for 6€. She bought a bunch of them in the States and wanted to get rid of them. So, if you’re by any chance in the States, be sure to buy a lot and maybe bring one back for me? 😉
