On this year’s fall/winter 2014/15 fashion show designers like Trussardi or Marques Almeida presented the ‘Smokey Lips’ look. They used red lipstick with a matte or satin finish and applied it messily on the lips, to achieve the undone look.
This look is very easy to recreate. Here I used two different shades of red, to get the orange red shade that I wanted.
For the orange color I used ‘Morange’ by MAC, the red lipstick is called ‘High Voltage’ by Milani.
The best way to mix different lipsticks, is to use the back of your hand. Apply both colors next to each other and mix them together with you fingers. Then dab the color on to your lips using your finger. Try to concentrate most of the color in the center of your lips and fade it out at the edges.
To get the matte finish, use a tissue and press it on to your lipstick, which will get rid of any shine.
