The Berlin-based label Sag + Sal produces handmade bags with the help of the upcycling principle. What do you think? What are these mostly green and blue creations made of? What would you say if you knew that printing rubber blankets which come from the offset printing process are used here?
We were really amazed by the sophisticated way Sag + Sal have been creating these babies with only the help of webbings of the furniture industry, bookbinding screws and the recycled printing blankets, consisting of solid rubber, compressible rubber and various fabric plies. Unsurprisingly, you can see that the label takes part in the Ethical Fashion Show with its environment-friendly designing concept. The Ethical Fashion Show will take place within the Berlin Fashion Week on July 08, 2014.
By the way, the colors green and blue are mostly use for the offset print. This is why most of designs are available in these two colors. If you’re looking for an orange, red or violet bag, you’ll need zippy eyes since these models are often out of stock because of their rarity.
