A 2500 year old female ice mummy has one of the most awesome tattoos, which I’ve ever seen. And she has them until now! Perfectly preserved in Siberian ice. She was discovered 19 years ago, impressing the scientists with untypical tattoos on her body.
Deer, rams, fish and wolfs embellish her shoulders, legs and chest. Delicately tattooed in blue with fine dots and embellishments and one could not deny any similarities with Celtic tattoos. Those tattoos show that this mummy may be a warrior or a ruler’s daughter. Now she should finally get her rest in peace where she came from, out of the research labs and museums and back to the Altai mountains, her home.
