The very first vehicle deliveries of the new BMW i8 (fuel consumption: 2,1-0,01/100km; CO2-emissions: 49-9g/km) took place on June 5 2014 in the BMW Welt in Munich. In this solemn context 8 lucky customers from Germany got the world’s first BMW i8’s. Roland Krüger, head of sales Germany of the BMW Group and Dr. Helmut Schramm, head of electric vehicle production in Leipzig handed over the keys.
Those new models offer the futuristic feature BMW Laserlight.
After the official delivery of the cars BMW launched an exclusive event to celebrate. Celebrities like Thomas Gottschalk and actor Thomas Kretschmann topped things up.
BMW Laserlight gets incorporated into new series: BMW are the first to offer the new laser light headlights in a production vehicle. History was written by the launch of the new model with this innovative light technology.
