Bobkova is the name of the label and the surname of the designer Christina. She pursued her studies in Kiev and already founded her own label at the young age of 23. She particularly made herself a name thanks to her knitwear. As an independent entrepreneur, Christina designed the costumes for different musicals and TV shows. Today, she creates prêt-à-porter collections, which have been an important part of the Ukrainian Fashion Week since 1998.
That’s why her latest collections have recently been presented there as well. With her collection for the fall and winter 2014 the designer focuses on fishing fashion. The women’s collection therefore is marked by practical attributes and masculinity. Rubber boots hide the delicate calves and loose pants, which are held by suspenders, flatter the slim thighs. Only the revealed knees indicate the petite silhouette of the mannequins, as the torso too is veiled by loose clothing. Surprisingly rigid and sturdy designs face light and floating materials, marking the diversity of the collection.
The new collection for the fall and winter 2014 by Bobkova always convinces with innovative silhouettes, enchanting color concepts and interesting contrasts.
