The infamous Smokey Eye Look is classic and wearable for almost every occasion. Either as a clubbing makeup, for a date or as a daily eye makeup, this look is the perfect accessory to leave your eyes looking sexy and seductive.

For the makeup I created for you today, I was inspired by a picture I saw on Instagram. Because I was looking for an interesting and wearable eye makeup, I was fascinated by this one, because not only the pop of color but also the double winged liner makes this eye makeup unique.

eye make-up

1. For the first step I applied a gold cream eyeshadow on my whole eyelid (e.g. “Copper” by Bobbi brown) and blended it out with a warm brown eyeshadow. Next I applied a gold eyeshadow on top of the cream eyeshadow to prevent it from creasing and intensifying the color.

2. To define my crease I took a dark brown eyeshadow and contoured my crease, starting by darkening my “outer v” and following my natural crease. Because we don’t want any harsh lines, it’s very important to blend it out well. If you need a little help with doing that, take the light brown eyeshadow we used in the first step on a fluffy blending brush and run it through your crease again.

3. For the pop of color take a shimmery turquoise eyeshadow and place it on the outer third of your eyelid. Blend it into the gold and dark brown to make the transition appear flawless.

4. To do the next step, take your favourite eyeliner and draw a line on your upper lid, as close to your lashline as possible. Wing it out at the end for a seductive cat look.

5. For the double wing draw a short line below your wing, as parallel to it as possible. To bring more contrast into your eyeliner take a white eyeliner or a white eyeshadow base (here I used nyx Jumbo pencil in “milk”) and draw another line between the two you just created.

6. To seal it, take a matte white eyeshadow and go over it with a thin eyeliner brush.

7. To complete your smokey eye look take a black kajal and apply it on your waterline and tight line, for a more intense look. Blend it out on your lower lash line with a black and dark brown eyeshadow. For more intensity in your crease take a small amount of your black eyeshadow and place it on your ‘outer v’, blending it into the dark brown eyeshadow.

8. The last step is to apply your favorite mascara and optionally some false eyelashes to complete your dramatic eye makeup.
