Sydney’s exclusive fashion event finally is back. From May 15 to May 18, 2014, more than 100 looks by talented designers were presented on the runways of the Sydney Fashion Weekend. For the styling of these looks, Margeret Zhang was responsible this time. By the way, this awesome lady already created the styling of labels like Nike and Swarovski.

One label which decided to show their collection on the Canon catwalk was Bec & Bridge. The two friends Becky Cooper and Bridget Yorston are the duo pulling the strings behind this brand. Their fashionable fate was sealed, when they met during their design studies. The almost meticulous love for details, paired with their ability to yet create commercial and wearable designs, definitely distinguishes these two individuals from their competition. Their style is marked by strong contours and slim silhouettes – each look is an epitome of modern, complex and chic fashion.

Another designer worth mentioning is Nicola Finetti who was born in Italy. He considers his own experiences he gained in life as a crucial source inspiration, which is why they are reflected by his fashion. Imbued by strong contrasts like black and white or north and south, he attempts to install these contradictions into his designs. Women are supposed to explore their inner self, their individuality and according to Nicola, they should, above all, be able to express their femininity.
