Today I want to present to you a game developer which started out as a small indie firm and is now considered a successful gaming company. A4 is a Ukranian game developer and among gamers they are well known for their S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. In this game, you’re playing a so-called Stalker in the post-apocalyptic Chernobyl. It portrays the worst-case scenario of the core meltdown in Chernobyl 1986 and what could have happened if it climaxed into a devastating explosion.
A4 Games made their commercial breakthrough with Metro 2033, selling more than 1.5 million copies all over the world. Metro 2033 tells about the life in the Moscow Metro after an atomic world war. Said game in fact is the gaming version of the novel which is also called “Metro 2033”.
After an incredibly successful start with their latest release “Metro: Last Light”, A4 decided to open up a new studio. Now they’ve got one in Kiev and in Malta!
And that’s not just good news for the guys at A4 Games, it’s great news for us too: CEO Dean Sharpe revealed that a new Metro sequel is already in the making!
