Hey Beauties.

It’s a brand new week and how to begin it more properly than with a Manicure Monday article on Readthetrieb.com?

After dozens and dozens of Manicure Designs, I’d like to show you something slightly different today. If you are anything like me and you made a habit of painting your nails every single week then you know how high-maintenance our nails can be. To prevent my nails from permanent damage I use a nail care routine religiously because your nails can get destroyed so easily.

My nail care routine includes four easy steps to follow.

Step 1

Removing nail polish

To remove my polish I usually tend to use aceton-free nail polish remover. It is much softer on your skin than the ones with Aceton. I’ll make an exception whenever I’m sporting any glitter on my nails but for those days when I only need one swipe, I’ll go with the aceton-free one to protect my skin.

Step 2

Cuticle Care

This step is often forgotten by many people, because they aren’t aware of how delicate our cuticles are. They dry out really fast, especially when you use nail polish remover on a regular basis. This is the reason why nourishing oils are essential for your nails. I use extra virgin olive oil. I think those are way better than the ones you get in the drugstore.

Step 3

 Filing my nails

I’m someone who really hates filing her nails. But there’s no you can avoid it if you want to keep your nails healthy and neat, which is why I was immensely happy to find one file that really works for me. Use a crystal nail file to protect your nails. It’s incredibly soft to your nails and prevents them from chipping too soon.

Step 4

 Base Coat

This step is rarely shown in my articles but I do it every single time before doing anything else. I apply a base coat before painting my nails because this is crucial for protecting your nails. Essie has a whole range of base coats with different benefits for your nails.

How does your nail care routine look like?
See you next time,

 Lana
