Michael David Adams discovered his passion in his early years and is by now an old hand in the business. The long list of magazines, including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan – and I’m mentioning just a few – all rely on his competence. It is said that whenever he can’t be found in New York he either is on the lookout for a new shooting place or underwater – not to look at pretty fish, no.

The sea is his territory, his passion. The photographs resulting from his trip underwater are always out of this world. Everything seems softer, quieter. You get trapped in his pictures and whenever you look at them you get the feeling that the purest form of tranquillity lies in the garment hugging the model underwater.

The moment the woman, his model, steps out of the water this feeling of tranquillity doesn’t cease. Michael David Adams manages to capture the spirit of the underwater world, where everything seems to be weightless and much slower than the real world. The artist always tries to tell a story through his pictures and by doing so he creates a whole other world for us to see.
