Porsche Designs was founded as a luxury brand and following project of the sports cars company by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche. One of its most important focuses is set on functionality.
Again, it’s focused on clear and modern designs in this collection for spring/summer 2014. These are adjusted to modern life by also using synthetic materials. In the end, we’re discussing this topic more and more in our everyday lives, and we also get more and more dependent on it.
The women’s silhouettes often shows straight designs which let the body look very rigid, tough and edged on the shoulders. Raw-edge elements are also used very often. So, edges, darts and pockets become visible from the outside and support the tough designs.
The men’s selection shows similar designs, but the cuts are adjusted to the male body. Big pockets that are attached on the creations and their functionality are put into the focus. The designs have a very calm charisma. This is probably achieved by the colors. The looks are kept in similar color schemes and are accentuated by highlights, including for example silver zippers.
Porsche Designs represents itself like its cars: dynamically, clearly and in an elegant way. The looks stand for luxurious everyday lives or a nice evening and create glamour with their discreet character.
