Behind the Latvian label, the designer Katya Shehurina is pulling the strings. She already participated in the previous Riga Fashion Week which presented the collection for spring and summer 2014. Her focus on evening gowns and bridal fashion can be clearly seen this summer. Her laced pieces are not only made for fancy evenings and occasions like weddings. Some pieces can totally be worn at daytime such as the pieces adorned by tulle and frills. The minty green dress would be a perfect example of a beautiful outfit which can enrich your everyday life.
After her studies at the France Esmod and an internship at the bridal fashion designers Nicolas Fafiotte and David Purves she found her own style with which she made herself a name shortly after the foundation of her label in2007.Russia, Europe and in the United States, her success is undeniable.
The pastel shades are completed with laces, semi-transparency and softness which emphasizes the feminine side with the use of nude shades for instance. Katya Shehurina incorporates romance, art but also vulnerability into her collection for summer 2014 which she seems to contrast with an emphasized shoulder area.
