beCarousell  is another label which will be featured at the  Riga Fashion Week (April 01 – April 05). The designer behind these very feminine pieces is Dace Krievina-Bahmane, who is also the fashion and beauty editor of the Cosmopolitan. There’s a reason why this well-known magazine is counting on this talented woman. It seems that she was born with a sense of aesthetics and femininity. These two factors define her collections.

In her spring/summer collection 2014, she proves that her fashion embodies pure femininity and elegance. Again, she uses the dress as the symbol of femininity. Even the color palette is feminine. It includes light, delicate pastel colors, such as rose, antique rose and lavender. Tension is created by black elements, which create a successful contrast between the light and dark to the pastel colors. A bright turquoise also attracts attention.

One might notice that often, it is used several textiles to create one piece. Light chiffon meets black leather, which is often attached on the shoulders of the short-sleeved, high-necked dresses. This forms strong contours.

The black contours also appear on the hip parts, where they visually separate the legs from the upper body and hence highlight the hip. The focus on the feminine hip can be seen on almost every short-sleeved or sleeveless creation. A floor-length dress instantly sticks into the eyes. This one is decorated by beautiful 3D flower applications.

Feminine, more feminine, beCarousell!
