What comes to your mind when you hear “Centro”? Probably a lot. This Centro stands for „Centro Textil y Moda” and represents Mexico’s first educational center where you can do your master’s degree in design. And it’s not only about fashion design, at this establishment you can enjoy a wide spectrum of design studies.
The conglomeration of designers will also present its new collections for next year at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week México, which is going to start on April 1. The current summer collection, which has been created for men and women, shows a summer’s atypical side. Would you think of deep black, leather and fur if you thought of summer?
Centro shows the woman in her role as a dominant femme fatale, who is unapproachable and absolutely powerful. It seems like the sensual, feminine silhouette, which is created by attached peplums and transparence, is attracting obedient men. Flowing capes emphasize the leadi once more. Summer is going to be hot no matter if temperatures stay low.
Men don’t appear less attractive in Centro’s creations, but they seem almost well-behaved and reserved compared to the femmes fatales. The straight, geometric division of the cut lets the look appear very minimalist and somehow constructed.
