Sally Lapointe always aims to waken feelings and emotions with her work. She wants to tell stories through her designs. And in fact her work does touch peoples’ hearts.
Sally Lapointe comes from Massachusetts and attended the Rhode Island School of Design. Later on she moved to New York to introduce her first own collection. Since then she has been featured in several fashion magazines and has been presented as one of the ”Women who dare” in Harpers Bazaar. Even the New York Times wrote an article about her.
Her clothing is very popular. Just take a look at the list of celebrities who like to wear her designs. Among them are also Katy Perry, Rita Ora, Lady Gaga, Lana Del Rey or Kim Kardashian. Now Sally Lapointe is available in several luxury department stores all around the world.
Her collection for spring and summer 2014 is undergoing a transformation. It starts with very light colors and large surfaces and therefore very calm designs and gets more detailed and edgy with many folds and darker colors. It seems she particularly makes use of specific stitches to create folds and creases.
Sally Lapointes collection of spring and summer shows a variety of pieces. From calm and minimalistic designs to wild, colorful and printed creations. She works with different prints and colors. At the end of the collection, you can even see a model who figuratively is on fire!
