flappy bird

Not too long ago this little app called Flappy Bird was born, it is for free and occasionally there are ads fading in. I think we all have it on our smartphone and the ones who don’t most likely tried it on a friend’s phone. I have to admit, it is kind of addictive.

But here’s the terrific news: Flappy Bird is gone since the 10th of February, dead, evaporated. But why?

The developer says the game is too addictive.

“Flappy Bird was designed to play in a few minutes when you are relaxed”, said Dong Nguyen in an interview with the Forbes Magazine. He further said that the addictiveness has become a problem for him and the users and the only solution would be deleting the app. Even though Dong Nguyen has been able to accumulate millions of Euros in a very short time, he claims “My life has not been as comfortable as it was before.” Soon, the remorse started to boil when he was just thinking of how someone could spend hours at a time on Flappy Bird or even through his smartphone against the wall out of anger. Dong Nguyen couldn’t even sleep anymore with his remorse.
