Kaelen Haworth is a designer with Canadian origins, but lives in New York where she owns her eponymous label. She lives and works in Big Apple since she has started her studies at the Parsons. In 2010, she graduated at the New School for Design. During her studies she gained many experiences at Jenni Kayne, Stella McCartney and The Lake & Stars. Her actual idols are Tilda Swinton, Jeff Bridges and Joan Didion.
She already got the chance to show her final collection at the New York Fashion Week. With her collection she always tries to unify contrasts. Tradition is perfected with innovation while masculine elements and feminine ones melt into each other to classy and also modern creations.
In her collection for spring and summer 2014 she combines edges and geometry with flowing and loose draperies. While some of the designs are divided into different parts with differently patterned fabrics, others are decorated with prints which cross the whole outfit. The collection is held in white and is mixed with black, grey and delicate blue-green.
This is fashion which attracts a lot of attention. Thanks to the reserved colors, the design can be highlighted and the draperies and dividing stitches can be emphasized, as well.
