Ist es ein Messer? Nein, es muss eine Rasierklinge sein! Ne…irgendwie ist es noch schärfer, noch dünner, noch schöner! Stimmt, es ist SONYs neue PS VITA SLIM!!
SONY hat endlich vor, die PS VITA SLIM wie ein Kreissägenblatt durch die Handheld-Szene Europas und der USA brettern zu lassen und das höchstwahrscheinlich noch in diesem Quartal!!!
Dünner und dennoch bei weitem Leistungsstärker als ein Nintendo 3DS und in vielen verschiedenen Farben präsentiert sich dieses Biest für die Tasche.
Der Bildschirm bleibt so groß wie der der PS VITA. Die VITA SLIM ist aber trotzdem etwas kleiner und um einiges dünner, damit auch ja keiner mehr behaupten kann, die PS VITA passe nicht mal in die Hosentasche! Weiterhin verzichtet SONY hier auf den OLED Bildschirm der PS VITA und nimmt ein LCD Display für die VITA SLIM. Das braucht sehr viel weniger Strom und zwar erhöhe dies die Laufzeit um rund zwei Stunden nach SONYs eigenen Angaben.
Endlich kommt SONY hinter das große Marktgeheimnis von Handhelds: Ja, sie müssen in die Tasche passen und auch mal eine Autofahrt nach Amsterdam halten!
Klingt echt geil, oder? Jetzt denkt sich jedermann: Kostet doch bestimmt einen Haufen Geld! Nun, hier kommen wir wieder zum Kreissägenblatt-Thema. Die PS VITA SLIM zersägt für nur US$199 den US-Amerikanischen Markt und dazu gibt es sogar noch ein Top-Spiel und eine 8-Gigabyte-Speicherkarte! So kann man also spekulieren, dass die PS VITA SLIM US$150 ohne Extras kosten wird.
Bei uns armen Europäern nehmen die internationalen Unternehmen ja gerne mal einen 1:1 US$ zu € Währungsrechnungskurs. Also rechne ich persönlich, dass auch hier bei uns die PS VITA SLIM 200€ im Paket oder 150€ alleine kosten wird.

Is it a knife? No, it has to be a razor blade! Nah, it’s kind of sharper, thinner and of course more beautiful! Right, it’s SONY’s new PS VITA SLIM!!
SONY has finally decided to let their PS VITA SLIM rip through Europe’s and America’s handheld scene like a rotary saw blade! And it’s most likely going to happen this quarter!!!
Thinner, yet a lot more powerful than the Nintendo 3DS and it’s available in various colors – that’s how we get to meet this pocket beast.
The screen is just as big as the one PS VITA has, but the VITA SLIM is a little smaller and a lot thinner however. This way, nobody can say the PS VITA doesn’t even fit in a pocket! Moreover, SONY gets rid of the VITAs OLED screen and uses an LCD display for their VITA SLIM, thus requiring way less power. SONY states the PS VITA SLIM runs up to two hours longer than the PS VITA.
Finally SONY has found out what the handheld business is all about: Yes, a handheld has to fit in your pocket and it should last long enough for a long trip!
Sounds awesome, doesn’t it? Now here’s what most of you might think right now: “That thing has got to cost a whole lot of money!” Well, let’s get back to the rotary saw blade thing I was talking about before. For only US$199 the PS VITA SLIM is going to rip through the American market and you even get a blockbuster game and an 8 Gigabyte memory card! It is assumed that the PS VITA SLIM will cost US$150 without the bundle.
We poor Europeans know it: International companies love using their 1:1 € to US$ exchange rate. So I personally think the PS VITA SLIM bundle will be 200€ and the solo version will cost you 150€.
