The brand, which is known for its comfortable shoes, just received the „Best Brand of the Year“-Award by “Footwear News” for its remarkable show in growth over the past year. BIRKENSTOCK has had a massive hype around them especially in the States but also in other parts of the world.

“We’re incredibly happy and proud to be receiving this amazing award by Footwear News”, so David Kahan, CEO of Birkenstock USA. “2013 has truly been a very successful year for BIRKENSTOCK, especially here in the States.” A lot of celebrities and leading forces in the US shoe industry rediscovered our brand for that we’re incredible thankful. They are all impressed by the craftsmanship and the unique wear ability of our products.”

Similar to where BIRKENSTOCK started, in Germany, they now settle down in the USA. “It all comes down to the Sales department at the end of the day. We want our customers to know that we have enough energy to produce what they want. That’s precisely why we doubled our manufacturing processes because in some top seller cases, we can’t even produce quickly enough to meet the demands.”, so Kahan.

That energy is what seems to have impressed the renowned magazine “Footwear News”. It was the 27th time that the so called Oscar for shoes was rewarded. 12 brands, designers and personalities from the shoe industry are honored with the “Footwear News Achievement Awards” every year. The magazine is somewhat of an obligatory read for managers from the industry. Retailers, manufacturers, importers, wholesalers use it to be constantly updated on news, trends and strategies in things like outdoo -, casual and fitness fashion for both adults and children.
