Awards for BMW i3, BMW 4th Coupé and BMW 5 series. BMW i3 awarded with “International Paul Pietsch Award” as a technical innovation.

BMW is going to start their year 2014 as a readers’ vote prize winner in four times for the “auto, motor und sport”. The BMW i3 (fuel consumption combined: 8,4–4,6 l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 13–0 g/km), BMW 4 Coupé (fuel consumption combined: 8,4–4,6 l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 197–121 g/km) and BMW 5 series (fuel consumption combined: 9,6–4,5 l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 224–119 g/km) have ensued in their classes. The BMW i3 got awarded as a very innovative development by chief editors of  “auto, motor und sport” and by more than 30 worldwide renowned partner car magazines with the „International Paul Pietsch Award“. On the 2nd place of the readers’ choice is the BMW 3 series (fuel consumption combined: 8,2–4,1 l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 193–109 g/km) and the BMW 6 Gran Coupé (fuel consumption combined: 9,4–5,6 l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 219–146 g/km), BMW i8 (fuel consumption combined: 2,1 l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 49 g/km) und BMW X5 (fuel consumption combined: 10,5–5,6 l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 244–149 g/km) contribute to that success.

The “BEST CARS” award is presented by the specialists’ journal “auto, motor und sport” every year and is part of one of the most important German awards in the automobile segment. In 2014, cars are going to be awarded for the 38th time and this year 384 vehicles were nominated. On the whole 115.285 readers participated.
