cruelty-free app

Veganism doesn’t only mean self-discipline and doing something for your help. Many vegans chose this lifestyle because they couldn’t bear consuming products whose production involved hurting or even killing animals.

Browsing the app store again I discovered a kind of useful app for the vegan lifestyle. It’s called „Animals’ Liberty“. Said app lists almost every grocery or drugstore item, for instance “Coca Cola” on the German market, showing whether the production of these items involved animal cruelty. In particular, the app informs you about the attitude towards animal cruelty and animal experiments of the producers. Furthermore, it presents cruelty-free alternatives.

Well I have to say that the concept of this app seems pretty useful but still the implementation isn’t flawless. The app is quite confusing and you cannot switch the language mode to English or other languages. Also some products I typed in the search bar are not listed (for example Miracoli, Oreos or Paco Rabanne). Sometimes wrong products or products I’ve never heard of were listed.

Wether this app is really useful or not is up to you. I don’t think I will use this app again. But hey, at least it was for free.
