Dawid Tomaszewski has always known how a woman should dress. Today, he finally has the chance to show this to the whole world, to impress and to seduce us. At the same time, he usually tends to leave the usual path and looks for alternative materials from rather technical fields.

The spring/summer collection 2014 of this German label is called “Lithium”. However, the inspiration for the creations wasn’t taken from chemistry, but from the art and especially the art of dance. Dawid Tomaszewski is fascinated by the Japanese choreographer Shen Wei and his company.

The designer was also inspired by the art of Monika Grzymala, which led him to create several geometric prints. Beside the prints, the color palette consists of many cream shades and some strong black elements. The designer doesn’t add bold colors. This is why this collection is so elegant but at the same time a little confusing like Monika Grzymala’s art.

The designs are very diverse because of the combination of the two totally different art movements. But this is also extremely interesting and exciting. One of these special looks is the one where a very lightweight, cream colored top is combined with some pants on which it seems as if a mirror was shattered directly over the fabric.

The collection is quite contentious and is dominated by latex tights. With its inspiration from the art of dancing, the collection seems to have a very vivacious character which is braked by the morbid art.
