Anne Gorke is based in Weimar, Germany where the internationally known Bauhaus has its roots. The designer tries to follow the Bauhaus’s guidelines and dedicates herself to the slogan “Form follows function”.

The clothing pieces of the collection have a very minimalistic design. The cuts are body-shaping, sometimes also casual. One single flower print can already be enough to decorate a shirt or bodysuit. Another focus is set on the sustainability of the fashion. This is why the label only uses natural textiles and leathers which only come from Germany and which have a high quality standard. Jobs are generated and it’s guaranteed that the creations are produced under fair conditions. So, it’s possible to avoid unnecessary transport routes.

The character of the spring/summer collection 2014 is casual and light. The cuts have an architectural construction. The light colors give a breeze of weightlessness, and olive green, white and rose build up the main colors which are partly interrupted by some black elements. This adds a strong character, which again is interrupted by some jewelry pieces such as the cuffs with their straps charms. They drip with freedom and energy.

Anne Gorke works with architectural and minimalistic basics and transforms them into casual, loose fashion. The collection for spring and summer, however, are very modest. The designer adds a good character to her creations using sustainable and fair guidelines.
