Bereits mit ihrer Frühlings- und Sommerkollektion 2014 und der Balladyna-Kollektion konnte uns Gosia Baczynska um den Finger wickeln. Kaum zu glauben, dass die White-Kollektion, die eigentlich schönste, erst jetzt kommt. In der White-Kollektion wird, wie der Name bereits verrät, mit besonderem Fokus auf Weiß gearbeitet. Da stellt sich natürlich die Frage, was ist typischer für dieses Thema als ein Hochzeitskleid? Nichts, denn genau diese machen praktisch die ganze Kollektion aus.
Sie sind in verschiedensten Silhouetten zu finden. Mal sind sie in ihrer Schlichtheit extravagant, mal in ihrer Extravaganz ganz schlicht. Minimalistisch wirkt das kurze, weiße Kleid, welches den Schnitt eines zu Oversize T-Shirts hat. Doch bloß auf den ersten Blick. Der eingearbeitete Schwan auf der unteren, rechten Seite sorgt für die gewisse Eleganz, der schwarze Kragen für etwas Exotik und der schwarze Schleier für Verrücktheit. Es ist ein abgerundetes und vor allem spezielles Hochzeitskleid.
Schwarz wird auch bei Handschuhen aus Spitze und bei einem kleinen Gürtel um die Taille eingesetzt. Dieses Mal ist es ein bodenlanges Kleid, wobei die Extraschicht Spitze bis zum Boden reicht, während das eigentliche trägerlose Kleid bereits über den Knien sein Ende findet. Die Ärmel aus Spitze sind ebenfalls lang. Zusammen mit dem Schwarz wirkt das Kleid irgendwie melodramatisch – vielleicht, weil auch jeder Anfang gleichzeitig ein Ende bedeutet: das Ende des Junggesellinnenlebens? Gosia Baczynska stellt das Hochzeitsritual etwas auf den Kopf. Es scheint, als müsste man bei ihr etwas Schlichtes, etwas Extravagantes, etwas Verrücktes und etwas Schwarzes mit zum Traualtar nehmen – für ihre Designs macht man das doch gerne.

Already with her spring- and summer collection 2014 and the Balladyna collection Gosia Baczynska could wrap us around her little finger. It’s almost unbelievable that the White collection, the actually most beautiful one, is coming only now. In the White collection, as the name tells, the designer worked with a special focus on the color white. So now this question comes up: What is more typical for this theme than a wedding dress? Nothing, because this is what particularly defines this whole collection.
They are found in diverse silhouettes. In some cases they are extravagant by their simplicity, in other cases they are simple in their extravagance. The short white dress with the cut of an oversize t-shirt appears minimalist. But only at first glance. The inserted swan element on the lower right side guarantees a certain elegance, while the black collar creates an exotic touch and the black veil bestows a kind of craziness upon the design. It is a rounded and particularly special wedding dress.
Black is also being used at some lace gloves and a little belt around the waist. This time it’s a floor-length dress, of what the extra-layer of lace reaches down to the bottom while the actual, strapless dress is already ending just above the knees. The sleeves of lace are as well long. With the black combinations the dress seems melodramatic in some way – maybe because every beginning means an ending at the same time: The end of the bachelors‘ live? Gosia Baczynska turns the wedding ritual kind of upside down. It seems as you would have to take something simple, something extravagant, something odd and something black to the altar in her version – for her designs I’d love to do that.
