a day to remember

The American post-hardcore band was founded in 2003 by their frontman Jeremy McKinnon. It’s definitely a classic in the worldwide hardcore scene and a must-hear. Seriously, they are extremely famous. Many people just became aware of alternative music thanks of them. In the USA they even reached rank eleven in the charts, keeping their position for eight weeks in 2010.

So now it’s time again: on February 2 they are going to appear on stage with Every Time I Die in the Columbiahalle. The tickets are extremely coveted and of course limited. Half a year ago I did not succeed in getting more than one ticket to their concert and that’s why Iwas forced to give up on it.

A Day To Remember counts as post-hardcore. However their music is related to pop punk in many cases due to the pop elements in their songs, which indicates that their music is not too unconventional. Trust me, it’s absolutely worth going there! These guys are awesome. I especially love their slower songs. If you are interested, just visit their facebook page. Of course I’m going to write another article about this concert.
