Heavy Machine kreiert mit viel Bezug zu moderner Kunst. So kommt es, dass so mancher Schuh an Form- und Farbenlehre des Bauhaus erinnert. Die Kreationen von Heavy Machine sind der Damenwelt gewidmet und bereichern diese mit ausgefallenen Designs und strahlenden Farben. Die Farben sind dabei aber eher die I-Tüpfelchen. Die Designs selbst überzeugen bereits mit ihren ungewöhnlichen Absätzen und Schnallen.
Ein grünes Modell wirkt selbst fast schon wie ein Reptil – bei dem aber wohl einiges nicht ganz stimmt. Der Absatz ist gebogen, als wäre es das Bein einer Frau, die damit ins Schlafzimmer locken möchte. Auch der Plateauabsatz ist geschwungen designet, was dem Modell etwas Aggressives verleiht.
Die meisten Modelle sind besonders im Profil sehr überzeugend. Es ergibt sich nämlich erst so der Eindruck, dass der Schuh aus verschiedenen geometrischen Einzelteilen zusammengesetzt wurde. Die Lasche wird dann zum gelben Dreieck und passt damit zu den Dreiecken, die sich im Absatz verstecken. Ein witziges Detail stellt dabei der kleine, blaue Würfel am Ende des Absatzes dar. Die Inspiration von Heavy Machine durch moderne Kunst ist kaum zu übersehen.
Die Geometrie und die frischen Farben lassen so manches Modell wie frisch von der Leinwand wirken. Mit Heavy Machine kann man sich also ein kleines Kunstwerk an die Füße zaubern. Wunderschön

Heavy Machine creates shoes which are extremely influenced by modern art. For this reason, some shoe models really remind us of the art genre Bauhaus concerning the shapes and the colors. The creations by Heavy Machine are mainly made for women and enrich the women’s world with extraordinary designs in luscious colors. The nuances however are just the cherry on the cake. The shoes already impress with extravagant heel designs and buckles.
A green model almost appears like a reptile – a strange reptile. The heel is curved which makes me think of the clichéd movie scenes where the leg of a woman pops through the door opening to lure the man into the bathroom. The plateau heel is curved as well, which however bestows a kind of aggressiveness upon the model.
Most designs look pretty impressive if you are looking at the side-face which reveals the impression that the shoe is made of different geometric single pieces. The shoe tongue for instance is made of a yellow triangle harmonizing well with the triangles which are hiding in the heel. Another very playful detail is a blue, small cube at the end of the platform. Seriously, it is extremely obvious that the source of inspiration is modern art. The geometrical shapes and the luscious colors make the shoes appear as if they have been taken out of a painting. With Heavy Machine, you can wear a real piece of art on your feet. Beautiful.
