I’m a true fan of BB Creams. I think foundations are mostly too ‘heavy’ to wear them every day. However, BB Creams cover light blemishes, often moisture your skin and let it shine.
One of my new products I’m currently trying out is the ‘Botanical Shine BB Cream’ by NATURE REPUBLIC. NATURE REPUBLIC is a Korean brand. Honesty, by now only Korean BBs could convince me. I don’t get along with the European products, but who knows if I might change my mind.
The ‘Botanical’ BB Cream comes in a typical packaging for which NATURE REPUBLIC is known. It has a simple cardboard box and a cute tube with flower prints on it. I guess this already beguiled me into buying it. The consistency of the cream is very soft and light. So is the coverage. The cream is actually made for those who just want to freshen up their skin a little because it doesn’t really cover anything.
It has SPF 30 to protect your skin from the sun. The scent is very flowery but it might be a little too strong for some people. At first, the color seemed to be a little too reddish for my skin tone but after some minutes the cream melts into the color of your skin and leaves a light shimmer. Actually, it’s a good cream for giving a fresh-up but for me this BB Cream is way too light. Also, I don’t really like the shimmer since I usually like to use BB Creams as concealers but applying this one on my really really dark circles under my eyes, it just looks weird.
