Gram stellt Schuhe her mit dem Ziel, traditionelle Schuhmode und moderne Sneakertrends zu vereinen. Dabei ist der Hauptfokus auf dem Komfort. Dieser Fokus zeigt sich besonders auch dadurch, dass die Schuhe keine gewöhnlichen Namen bekommen, sondern ganz einfach nach ihrem Gewicht in Gramm benannt werden. Der Gedanke dahinter ist, einen besonders leichten Schuh zu entwickeln, der das Laufen so komfortabel wie möglich macht.
In der neuen Herbst/Winter Kollektion 2013 hat sich das Label die Farbe Schwarz zum Thema gemacht. Des Weiteren präsentiert Gram Shoes eindrucksvoll auch vor allem die Wirkung von Schwarz auf andere Farben. Ästhetik wird insofern hervorgerufen, als dass ein intensiver Kontrast die bunten Farben besonders zum Leuchten bringt. Besonders strahlt die Sohle des ,,470 g“-Schuhs für Männer. Sie ist nämlich knallig orange. Der Schuh sonst ist schwarz-grau, geht knapp über den Knöchel und macht einen sehr schmalen Fuß.
Ganz im Gegensatz zu dem 471g-Modell für Frauen, das in der Form sehr an Dr. Martens-Schuhe erinnert. Besonders tritt aber auch der 380g-Schuh bei den Frauen hervor. Sein Design unterstricht genau diesen Kontrast zwischen Hell und Dunkel, der das Helle zum Strahlen bringt – in diesem Fall Gold, das sich den edlen Halbschuh ziert.
Bei Gram Shoes ist zwar der praktische Aspekt von Schuhen im Vordergrund, doch geht das Design dabei nicht verloren. Eher im Gegenteil. Mit einer Palette von traditionellen Schuhen bis Sneakers und jeder Menge Kombinationen dazwischen, ist man hervorragend bedient.

Gram makes shoes with the aim to combine modern sneaker trends and traditional shoe fashion. There the main focus in the comfort. This focus is especially portrayed with the names of the shoes: they don’t have just a normal name; they are named by their weight in grams. The thought process behind this is to make an especially light shoe which makes walking as comfortable as possible.
In the latest Fall/Winter collection 2013 the label has made black their main theme. Gram Shoes further impressively presents the effect of black on other colors. Aesthetic is brought in by an intense contrast to bright colors, which makes the shoe shine especially. In particular the sole of the “470 g” shoe for men shines, because it is in a flashy orange color. The other parts of the shoes are black and grey, the shoe reaches over the ankles and makes a very slim foot.
This is on the contrary to the 471g piece for women, which really reminds you of the form Dr. Martens shoes have. The 380g shoe for women also is especially notable. It’s design underlines the contrast between bright and dark, which makes the bright things shine – In this case it is gold, which graces a delicate low shoe.
Even though the practical aspect is important for Gram Shoes, they do not ignore design. Quite the contrary, with a whole range of traditional shoes to sneakers and lots of combinations in between you are served splendidly.
