Das Label Evaw-Wave zeigt den Fluss des Lebens und die pure Freude daran.
Evaw-Wave hat Persönlichkeit und erweckt ganz schnell Sympathie. Die Designerin zeigt sich bei ihrer Beschreibung auf einem Bild mit ihrem Hund auf einem Steg und beide strahlen um die Wette. Die Beschreibung des Labels scheint von Hand geschrieben und wirkt wie ein Brief von einer engen Freundin. Genauso tritt das Label auf und das verkörpert es auch – Freundschaft.
Die Herbst/Winter Kollektion 2013 nennt sich „Iceland Gipsy“ und präsentiert eine Mischung aus Indianer, Gipsy und Südamerika. Sie befasst sich auf jeden Fall mit einem Wandervolk, das ständig in Bewegung ist und die einzige Konstante der Verlass auf enge Freunde und Familie ist. Die Farben erstrecken sich dabei von warmem Braun und Apricot, bis hin zu kalten Blautönen.
Typisch „Gipsy like“ sind dabei die Zotteln, die an Boots und Jacken angebracht sind, in Kombination mit dem Band, welches um den Kopf gebunden ist. Fellstiefel hingegen bringen wohl den Iceland-Aspekt der Kollektion zum Ausdruck. Die Muster, die in Ober- und Unterteil Verwendung finden, scheinen typische Indianermuster zu sein, welche alle das Dreieck als Grundlage haben.
Evaw-Wave erinnert an eine alte Freundin, die auf Reisen war und mit vielen Geschenken zurückkommt. Geschenke, die man gerne trägt, weil sie so gemütlich aussehen!

The label Evaw-Wave wants to shoe the river of life and the never-ending source of joy life represents.
Evaw-Wave is an absolutely charming label and immediately drew us under their spell. The designer introduced herself on her website by showing herself in a photo with her dog. Both have a wonderfully bright smile on their faces. Underneath the photo, she put a caption which looks as if it was written by the designer by hand. She describes the label as feminine, colorful and emotional as it is a part of herself.
The fall and winter collection 2013 is called Iceland Gipsy and shows a mixture of Indian, Gipsy and South American style. She seems to be very interested in this nomadic people, who always is in movement and sees its family and its friends as the only constant in its life. The color palette ranges from a warm brown and apricot to cold blue nuances.
One signature attribute of Gipsy fashion which the label takes up are the fringes, which are attached to the boots and the jackets. Paired with a band tied around the head, the collection truly looks very ethnically inspired. The fur boots reflect the Icelandic aspect of the collection, while the patterns, which can be found on tops and pants, seem to be geared to Indian patterns with the triangle as the fundament.
Evaw-Wave is like a good old friend obsessed with travelling. The label could be the kind of friend, who always brings you tons of souvenirs from her journeys.
