Das Ziel, der in London ansässigen Designerin Rachel Entwistle ist es, individuellen Schmuck zu kreieren. Priorität ist dabei nicht nur das Aussehen der Kreationen sondern auch der „innere“ Wert. So steckt in jeder eine besondere Bedeutung. Dabei lässt sich die Londonerin vor allem von der Natur, Mythen und Religionen inspirieren. http://rachelentwistle.co.uk/
In Mexiko studierte sie an der Universität der Künste in Taxco. Dort begann auch ihr Interesse für Schmuckdesign zu wachsen. Zusammen mit Kamilla Thorsen hat sie in Shoreditch, London, eine Boutique/Modestudio eröffnet („Thor & Wistle“) wo man ihre Kreationen entdecken kann.
2012 war sie bei den „UK Jewellery Awards“ für den Preis als Neudesigner des Jahres nominiert und war sogar Siegerin des „International Jewellery London Editor’s Choice“ für Originalität. Das ist jedoch nicht alles! Thor & Wistle war außerdem dieses Jahr für den „Store Design and Boutique Retailer“ Preis 2013 nominiert.
Bei der aktuellen Produktpalette ließ sich Rachel Entwistle vor allem von der Kirche inspirieren. Es finden sich hauptsächlich viele Ketten und Ringe mit Kreuzanhängern in Gold und Silber. Die Formen sind sehr verspielt und verschnörkelt. Alle Produkte sind handgefertigt und größtenteils aus umweltfreundlichen und recycelten Stoffen.

The aim of London based designer Rachel Entwistle is creating individual jewellery. Still, the creations’ looks aren’t the first priority. It is the “inner” value. That’s why, there’s always a meaning in each creation. The Londoner gets her inspiration mainly from the nature, myths and religions. http://rachelentwistle.co.uk/
She studied at the Taxco University of Arts in Mexico. There, her interest in jewellery design started to develop. In corporation with Kamilla Thorsen, she opened a boutique/studio (‘Thor & Wistle’) in Shoreditch, London where you can spot her creations. In 2012, she was nominated for New Designer of the Year at the UK Jewellery Awards and even won the International Jewellery London Editor’s Choice for Originality. Nevertheless, that’s not all! Thor & Wistle has been nominated for Store Design and Boutique Retailer of the Year 2013.
The clergy mainly imbued her for the latest product line. You can basically find a lot of necklaces and rings with crosses in gold and silver. The forms are very playful and squiggled. All products are made by hand and mostly made of environment-friendly and recycled materials.
