Das 1991 von der gebürtigen Italienerin und Weltenbummlerin Gabriella Cortese gegründete Label, ist eine Mischung aus Ethno, erzeugt durch kleine aber feine Allover Prints und Hippie, durch die lässig geschnittenen Hosen, die an eine Art Stoff-Chino erinnern. Durch die sehr ausladenden Verzierungen sowie kontrastreichen Schnitte lässt sich schnell ein osteuropäischer Einschlag vermuten. http://www.antikbatik.fr
Witzigerweise ist die Großmutter Gabriellas Ungarin, wodurch sie auf einen großen Schatz an traditionellen Gestaltungsprinzipien zurückgreifen kann. Beeinflusst von der russischen Avantgarde und den Mustern des Jugendstils, kreiert sie ihre zeitlosen, vor Stil und Vintage trotzenden Fundgruben.
Für die Herbst/Winter 2013/14 Kollektion treffen blutrote, A-Linien förmige Tuniken auf einen fellbekränzten Mantel, semi-transparente Blusen in Schwarz und Dunkelblau vereinen sich mit den gemusterten Stoff-Chinos wodurch ein unbekümmerter „Mir ist alles egal“-Look entsteht.
Dunkelblaue Röschen, wie auf das gute Sonntagsgeschirr gemalt, zieren leicht verkitscht eine Spencer-Jacke. Dazu trägt man süße, samtige Ballerinas in Burgunder, Ocker und Russischblau, die vorne mit Perlen bestickt sind.
Eine abgesteppte, seidig schimmernde College-Jacke in Purpur mit weißen Lilien drauf, ist Retro—Kitsch pur. Dazu steht eine komplett schwarze College-Lederjacke mit erhabener, ornamentaler Textur in Kontrast. Die kleinen, handlichen Taschen sehen meistens aus wie gestrickt oder geflickt, mal mit Perlen, mal mit roten Stoffröschen verziert.
Die Kinder-Kollektion für kleine Mädchen ist zauberhaft süß, dank kleiner Fell-Cardigans und Westen, gemusterter Pullover-Rock Kombinationen, Kniestrümpfe und Halbschuhe. Mit Hosen und Hemden in Weiß und kleinen, filigranen Blumen-und Rosenprints, wird es auch bei den kleinen Eisprinzessinnen edel.

The label founded by the Italian born globe trotter Garbriella Cortese in 1991 is a mixture between ethnic fashion created by sophisticated allover prints and the hippie style thanks to the loosely cut pants similar to chinos. By accident the Garbiella Cortese’s grandmother happens to be Hungarian, which explains the richness of traditional elements in the designs of the clothing. Influenced by the Russian avant-gardist movement and the patterns of the art nouveau, Gabriella creates timeless treasures dripping with vintage flair and style.
For the Fall and Winter collection in 2013 and 2014 blood red A-shaped tunics meet fur-collar coats, semi-transparent blouses in black and dark blue are worn with patterned chinos. This creates a carefree “I don’t give a Fuck” look. Wonderful.
Dark blue roses like the ones painted on grandma’s precious china embellish spencer jackets in a slightly cheesy way. In addition to this jacket, a velvety pair of ballerina shoes in whine red, ochre or Russian blue is worn, while the front of the shoe is embroidered with pearls.
A stitched, silky, shimmering college jacket in purple with white stripes represents the retro side of this label perfectly. In addition, a completely black college leather jacket with an impressive, ornamental texture as a contrast to the rough material is available as well. The small, handy bags look as if they are knitted and patched, sometimes embellished with pearls, other times with red fabric roses.
The kids’ collection for little girls is charmingly sweet thanks to the fur cardigans and vests, patterned pullovers and skirts, knee socks and low shoes. With pants and shirts in white and small, filigree floral and rose prints, girls can feel like noble princesses.
