KangaROOS ist eine international bekannte Marke für Sportschuhe, die 1979 von Bob Gamm gegründet wurde.
Der aktive Basketballer erfand die Schuhe mit der kleinen Extratasche in der Lasche, um kleine Utensilien besser verstauen zu können. Das haben alle KangaROOS gemeinsam. Neben dieser kleinen Tasche ist das Logo seit 1982 unverändert geblieben. In den frühen 80er Jahren waren KangaROOS die am schnellsten wachsende Marke in den USA (es wurden pro Monat 700.000 Paar Schuhe verkauft!). Nach diesem explosiven Boom konnten sie sich aber immer noch auf dem internationalen Markt behaupten.
Um an das aktuelle Trenddesign anzuknüpfen, haben sie die beliebten Modelle von damals im Retrodesign neu aufgelegt, brandneue Klassiker gewissermaßen. Starke Farben sind ausschlaggebend für diese alten Schätze aus den 80er Jahren. Egal ob ein oder mehrfarbig, dynamische Formen anstatt der Blockformen sind hier angesagt.
So z.B. gibt es einen Sneaker im Tropenfischlook, Grün-Gelb mit Streifen oder Blau mit gelben, organischen Formen KangaROOS Sneakers unterscheiden sich insofern von derer anderer Firmen, dass sie lebendiger wirken ohne harte Kanten und Blöcke.

KangaROOS is an internationally known label for sport shoes, which was founded by Bob Gramm in 1979. The active basketball player invented the shoe with a small extra pocket in the tongue of the shoe, in order to stash utensils more effectively. This is the attribute which all KangaROOS have in common. Apart from this small pocket, the logo has been staying unaltered since 1982.
In the early 80ies, KangaROOS was the fastest growing label in the USA (700 000 pairs of shoes were sold per month!). After this explosive boom, the brand could keep their success on the international market nonetheless. In order to follow the latest trends, the label revived and reinvented the popular retro models from the past, brand-new classics.
Luscious colors are a striking characteristic of the oldies but goldies from the 80ies. No matter whether multicolored or plain-colored, dynamic shapes instead of bloc shapes are on the agenda. Therefore, there is a sneaker which reminds of a tropical fish, green-yellow with stripes or blue with yellow, organic shapes. KangaROOS is different from other enterprises, as they seem more lively without all the edges and blocs.
