Tag 3 der Bread and Butter für mich. Meine Füße tun immer noch von gestern weh und meine Schultern sind lilablau vom vielen Durchschubsen. Ich habe Striemen an den Händen weil ich Beutel voller Pressematerial tragen musste und ich bin müde….aber dazu hoch-motiviert der Fashion Week zu zeigen, woraus ich bin, ihr nochmal alles abzuringen und och den letzen guten Stand zu finden, um unseren Informationsdurst zu stillen. Die selben Teams wie Gestern, wir sind eingespielt wie die deutsche Fußball-Nationalmannschaft und kampferfahren wie Jackie Chan, was in dem Getümmel auch manchmal von Nutzen ist. Also los los los! Vorbei an all den Ständen, die wir schon abgegrast haben, in die letzten Winkel der Hallen, um die kleinen Labels zu finden und die weißen Flecken, die wir bisher übergangen haben.
Los ging es bei Calvin Klein, die ihre neue Schuhkollektion vorstellten. Das Besondere, der Stand war 2 geteilt, eine Hälfte warm, rustikal und aus Holz die andere kalt, metallisch und modern. Ein schöner Kontrast. Und da es der letzte Tag war, waren die Labels auch sehr entspannt.
nach Calvin Klein gönnte ich mir erstmal meinen Frühstücks Rum-Cocktail und schlenderte weiter zum Mavi Stand. Dieser war mehr als detailverliebt dekoriert, er erinnerte an einen übergroßen Kleiderschrank mit zahlreichen Kleinigkeiten und Eyecatchern.
Draußen vor dem Stand konnte man sich ein eigenes Shirt bemalen, bekleben, bebasteln…ach hätte ich nur die Zeit gehabt das zu tun…
Weiter ging es zu G-Star Raw, die ein eigenes kleines Haus inmitten der Halle hatten…es sah aus wie eines dieser postmodernen Bauwerke der 80´er und wirkte wie ein exklusiver Club. Im Inneren gab es einige sehr interessante Stücke, die bei mir das selbe Gefühl auslösten…es war sehr ästhetisch und Gentlemen club-mäßig aber auch ein wenig kalt.
Nachdem wir noch ein paar kleinere Labels abgeklappert haben kamen wir zu „Einstein & Newton“. Und die, sind wirklich gut! Der Stand war in schwarz/weiß Comic-style gehalten und sie stellten ihre wirklich schön gestalteten T-Shirts da. Es ist ein junges, lockeres Unternehmen und man konnte sich gut mit ihnen unterhalten…ich mochte es sehr!
Danach noch ab zu Marc`O-Polo und deren eigenes Haus war wirklich umwerfend. Es erinnerte mich an ein Hotel aus den frühen 60´ern und war wirklich gut. Es war in einzelne „Zimmer“ aufgeteilt und jedes hatte seine eigene Kollektion. Auch hier gab es gratis Getränke und diese waren wirklich lecker. Auch sonst war man sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Bevor wir dann weiter die kleinere Labels aufstöberten, kamen wir noch bei „Rich & Royal“ vorbei, die wohl die attraktivste und fotogenste Hostess der ganzen BBB an ihrem Stand hatten. Uns fiel immer wieder auf, mit wie viel Liebe auch die kleinen Labels sich präsentierten. Dazu später mehr.
Als meine Mitabenteurerin und ich an einem Pelzmützenstand vorbei kamen, konnte ich nicht anders als einige aufzusetzen und danach lange mit dem Standpersonal zu diskutieren, ob Kaninchen oder Kojote besser sein, um nen schicken Hut draus zu machen…wir wurden uns nicht einig und kamen zu dem Schluss, dass echter Pelz zwar kacke ist aber sich doch echt schick anfühlt.
Ein wenig weiter noch durch die Labyrinth-artigen Gassen der Bread and Butter und auch der letzte Tag war vorbei…was kann ich groß und abschließend dazu noch sagen ? Es hat Spaß gemacht und ich habe nun wirklich Lust auf die kommende Saison, da ich weiß was für schmucke Schmankerl uns die Modewelt schenken wird.

This was the third day of the Bread&Butter. My feet and my shoulders still hurt because of yesterday’s long walk and the constant jam. I have some weals on my hands because I had to carry around my heavy bags I needed for work; and I’m so tired, but still motivated to show my resistance, finding the last nice stand to appease our thirst of information. The same teams like yesterday – we’re as trained as the German national soccer team and as battle hardened as Jackie Chan, which might be really useful in this hurly-burly. Let’s go! We try to find the small labels we left out the other days when we were busy checking out the other stands.
The first one was Calvin Klein and their new shoe collection. The special thing about Calvin Klein’s stand: it was divided into two parts; one part had a warm, rustic character with a lot of wood; the other one was cold, metallic and modern. This was a nice contrast. Since it was the last day, the designers were of course more relaxed. After having visited Calvin Klein, I bought a cocktail of rum for breakfast and went to the next Mavi stand. This one was rich in details; it reminded me of a oversized wardrobe with numerous miscellaneous and eye-catchers. In front of the stand one could customized his/her own shirt … I wish I had the time for it.
The next stop was G-Star Raw. They had their own little house in the hall, and it looked like one of these post-modern buildings of the 80ies, somehow like an exclusive club. Inside, you could find some really interesting pieces. Everything was very aesthetic and looked like a club for gentlemen, but also a little cold.
After having visited some other new labels, we arrived at Einstein & Newton. They are amazing! The stand was kept in a black/white comic-style. Einstein & Newton presented their nice t-shirts. It’s a young, relaxed company with whom we had a nice chat.
Next one was Marc’O-Polo and their house was extremely stunning. It reminded me of a hotel from the early 60ies. It was parted into single “rooms”. Each of them showed its own collection. Here, you could also get free drinks, which were so delicious! Again, the staff was very friendly.
Before we made for the smaller labels, we first stopped by at Rich & Royal. I guess they had the most attractive and photogenic hostesses of the BBB. Plus, I have to repeat to mention the lovely details we found everywhere.
When my companion and I dropped off at a stand for fur hats, we couldn’t resist to try out some of them and we couldn’t resist to discuss if it’s neccessary to take rabbits or coyotes to create a nice hat… We couldn’t find a solution, but found out that real fur is out. However, it feels really nice though.
So, we continued to walk around and finally, the day was over. Time to say bye bye to Bread&Butter. It was a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to the next season.
