This September, I spent most of my time in Ibiza, which is an island known for hosting the music video shoots of numerous popular artists. Barbara Tucker, a House legend, is one of those artists. Her latest song “Give it to me” features Oscar Lindahl and DJQ, and I’ve been invited to play a role in its music video. The plotline of the video revolves around a love story between Oscar (he’s a popular DJ from Marbella) and I.

The filming took place over two days. My first time meeting Barbara was at the “Music meets Media” event in Berlin, where she held a live performance and impressed masses of fans. In real life, she is a little bit of a diva, and everyone realised this over the course of the shoot.

We started shooting some scenes at the old harbor of Ibiza, with two camera teams covering the entirety of the scenery. 29°C in the shade turned out to be quite exhausting for most of us, especially when we had to do repeat takes. The sea scene, where I emerged from the water in an erotic way, attracted quite a lot of onlookers. We filmed at the Blue Marlin, one of my favorite beach bars in Ibiza and also the location for Barbara’s live performance. During these two days, Oscar and I got to know each other rather well.

In one scene, I had to look sexy while underwater, and this proved to be very difficult. The scene will probably never appear in the video, since I could barely open my eyes and actually looked more like a walrus than a mermaid. For the “ice cube scene”, the crew took more time than necessary as they found it fun. However, the region beneath my neck was numb for a while!

When we shot the “scene with the Vespas”, we abstained from wearing helmets, as we wanted to look better in the shoot. Unfortunately, we were stopped by the police and Oscar started to panic. Fortunately, I know all about handling angry police officers: I flirted with them and very soon they forgot about everything, and we continued filming. Then, disaster struck a second time: one of the cameramen had left his camera unattended for a second, and it had disappeared. Our camera and equipment had been stolen!

The team was extremely professional, and retrieved their backup equipment. For the last scene, Oscar and I were supposed to flirt on the cliffs. My partner became nervous and began shivering, which I found very cute. Fortunately, I’ve already done several love scenes in other music videos, so it was quite easy for me. Furthermore, despite his young age (23), he was a very attractive man – as a videoshoot partner, he was the perfect choice. I simply took his hand and completed the scene.

In the end, it took 4 exhausting days to complete the music video. On the last day, the entire crew went for food together, and we all headed to Pacha afterwards. At first, I couldn’t recognize Barbara without her makeup – she looked totally normal and reminded me of my neighbor. She seemed really relaxed and friendly.

We celebrated our successful shoot until the night disappeared. I really enjoy these kinds of video shoots, where everyone is happy and celebrates at the end. This surely will not be my last one!
