Easygoing and chic at the same time – these attributes describe the spring and summer line by Ato best. On the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Tokyo, the designer Ato Matsumoto is presenting his latest collection in March, 2015. Since the year 2000, he has been active in the fashion world. Today, he is almost considered a veteran in the field of men’s wear. For the coming summer, Ato envisions the modern man dressed in light suits and light, silky cargo pants.
Combining the classical suit design with street wear elements bestows a very noble and yet easygoing flair upon the collection, while giving it an individual and slightly extravagant touch. The color palette mainly consists of black, white, grey and navy blue paired with warm khaki and dark orange shades. Cargo pants determine the collection as well as carrot pants, which promise a very stylish, fashionable summer. The brand of course can’t let you walk on the hot asphalt streets bare-footed. For this reason, Ato provides you with amazing footwear ranging from low-top sneakers to awesome track sandals made of leather.
There is one particular look which really caught my attention. In the ad campaign the outfit consisting of an orange-colored pair of pants worn with a green bomber jacket made of both a shiny and matte fabric and capped off by white sneakers absolutely stands out. The result: a very fascinating color contrast which appears extraordinary and very summery.
Ato created a clothing line which draws its expressive power from impressive color contrasts and the combination of classical and sporty cuts. This collection is indeed a real eye catcher.
