The label Anne Valérie Hash was founded by the eponymous designer in 2001. After a few years filled with success, her creations could be admired in various museums. They were exhibited next to works designed by Alexander McQueen, Hussein Chalayan, Martin Margiela and Viktor & Rolf, to name but a few. Anne Valérie Hash decided to add a Haute Couture collection to her fashion repertoire in 2007 which was officially acknowledged by the Parisian Chambre Sydicale de la Couture one year later.
Her new ready-to-wear spring/summer collection 2014 is dominated by an unbelievably futuristic elegance. It is characterized by an extremely sporty touch and feminine silhouettes which are emphasized through geometrical lines and forms being underlined by contrasting strong orange with cold gray. Yet, comfort and the necessary freedom of movement play an important role.
Next to knee-length dresses reminiscent of tennis dresses due to the low waist, we can find masculine suits and floor-length, flowing ball dresses. While the inspiration taken from sport is continuously visible, the feminine aspect is partially concealed with oversized trousers. Thus, a fascinating masculinity arises lending an irresistible, androgynous charm to the wearer. This masculinity clashes with the yet emphasized charms of the female wearer whose sexiness is underlined by the use of lace. In fact, femininity is still an omnipresent attribute in this collection.
Anne Valérie Hash’s spring/summer collection 2014 appeals to customers searching for sporty and elegant fashion with an avant-garde touch. The designs are totally thought out, while the individual interpretation of femininity seems very varied.
