Happy Birthday to meeee! Who doesn`t dream of spending his birthday in the most crazy city in the world, New York? Of course, on the occasion of my birthday I looked for a very special location and my decision fell to the Rooftop bar Upstairs at the Kimberly Hotel. The Rooftop bar is located on the 30th floor of the hotel and is very stylishly furnished. While the interior is very classy, the location gets a light winter garden flair through the many small lights and plants.
I personally liked it very much. Also the guests were very pleasant, between 20 and 50 years almost every age class was represented. All dressed up nicely, but not this straight suit look, elegant and casual. With sneakers or caps you should not enter the bar it says on the website. The prices were adequate for the rooftop bar, a cocktail was 18 euros, a glass of wine at 15 euros and my champagne 20 euros by the glass.
Through the loud music you could get quite fast in party mood, from HipHop over Dancefloor to classics was actually played pretty much everything. Shortly after midnights Alicia Keys sang her song – New York “Empire State of Mind”, what a feeling to look down on the many illuminated towers and enjoy the evening.
