The Chinese designer Vivienne Tam discovered her passion for fashion very early. At the age of 8 she created her own clothes and learned just by the way English at school. After finishing her design studies at Polytechnic University in Hong Kong, she moved to London. She decided, however, to go to New York to start her own label there in 1982.
Her fashion is a combination of Eastern and Western culture. It combines traditional with modern. In addition, she was the first to introduce the NASA symbol into her collections.
Her spring / summer 2017 collection contains especially wide, light clothes as well as waist pleats. Tam has incorporated many girlish elements, such as floral prints and frills. Even intense colors play an important role here and make the collection look even happier and more summery.
