Sailor Moon, who is one of the most famous superheroes in Japan, is being used for an STDS campaign by the Japanese ministry of health. The Japanese ministry of health started a campaign, in which 60.000 heart shaped boxes with Sailor Moon´s face on its cover were spread cross country. Those boxes contain condoms and safer sex information brochures. The slogan of this campaign says  “If you don´t test yourself, you are going to be punished!”, which mimicked the original catchphrase of Sailor Moon “In the name of the moon, you are going to be punished”.
Choosing a popular Japanese superhero for this campaign seems to be an excellent idea by the Japanese ministry of health, to encourage women to safer sex.
