Especially during the winter time it is important to give your skin a little more attention. For our feet we can easily do that with a homemade foot bath, which relaxes the skin and makes your own bathroom feel like a home spa.

The following foot bath is composed of ingredients that you usually have at home. With olive oil and lemons you can easily mix a soothing mixture that will smoothen your skin.

Add 1 cup of lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1/4 cup of milk and 1 tablespoon of honey into a foot bath bowl and fill it with water. Let it soak into your feet for 15 minutes and rinse off with warm water afterwards.

An alternative would be a refreshing lime-mint mixture, for example.

Take 2 cups of coarse sea salt, 1/2 package of baking powder, lemon zest, a little lime oil and a little peppermint oil and mix it thoroughly. Then put it into a container. You can keep this mixture for up to 4 weeks in the fridge.

For your foot bath, take a little bit of the mixture and pour it into a foot spa bowl with warm water. Enjoy!
