You bought a new pair of awesome Levi’s jeans? I hope you haven’t put it in your washing machine yet because this is definitely the wrong thing to do. Well, if you are a real hardcore denim fan and can’t imagine living without the epitome of casualness, you have to follow the following instructions. I have to admit, they are slightly extreme, but these care rules are recommended by real jeans experts.

You should wear your jeans every day for the next six months. But during these six months the jeans should never be put in the washing machine. If you have stains on your jeans, take a wet towel and try to dab them off. Don’t use any detergent as it can wash away the color. Smells and odors can be removed by airing your jeans or by putting it in a plastic bag that is then stored in the freezer for a few hours hour.

After six months and sometimes even nine months, you can finally wash your jeans at cold temperatures. But only once in a month.

Well, this is at least what passionate jeans lovers would do with their new jeans. If you too want to do your denim clothes justice, you should pick up one or two of these rules.
