Sometimes all you need is a sprinkle of glitter. To try and find a purpose or function for glitter is not possible and completely unnecessary. Sometimes, we just need something pretty to lighten up our days. I personally like to use glitter from time to time when I go out. The only problem is however that most glitter products including glitter eyeliner and gels contain many chemicals whose names I can’t even say out loud without breaking my tongue. The funny thing is that you can actually make your own glitter gel at home and you only need two ingredients to do so: Mica and Aloe Vera gel.
For one tube or container of glitter gel, all you have to do is mix together one cup of Aloe Vera gel and one teaspoon of gold mica powder. For those of you, who don’t know what mica is: Mica powder is a product of the mica group of sheet silicate minerals. It is used for decoration purposes as well as for beauty products and is to this day very popular because it is non-invasive. You can either buy it in your local craft shop or online.
The gel can be used on both skin and hair. Thanks to the Aloe Vera it will provide you with enough moisture for an exciting night out.
