The history of this company was kickstarted back in 1949 by a certain textile engineer, Gerhard Rösch a company whose “made in Germany” label still continues to stand for quality today. They conquered the mid-20th century ladies’ fashion scene of Tübingen with their extravagant nightwear, especially with their pieces made of the hotly coveted nylon material.

Ever since then, Gerhard Rösch GmbH has been setting a model example in taking excellent care of the needs of its employees. This was unheard of in the 50s, and was of course particularly well received by the staff. Today, they stand out with their employee-friendly policy, and their work climate is something that would probably strike envy into many of us cubicle-dwellers!

But if there’s anything more important than the social aspect of a garment company, its the design of their clothes. Gerhard Rösch was always a huge fan of innovation, and was responsible for inventing and patenting new textiles during the early years of the company. While they were sold under the name of Rökona Textilien, it was Gerhard Rösch GmbH that took care of the design.

In the 70s, new inventions such as the “Modeexpress” came to life, with which new collections could be presented to customers on the spot. The employees were given a recreational area and a swimming pool, and even a day-care centre for their kids. Gerhard Rösch thus continues to portray itself as social and superbly family-friendly.

Gerhard Rösch stands for sustainability, innovation and social well-being – and naturally, also for unique designs in the nightwear segment! At Rösch, you’ll also be able to find housewear, swimwear, beachwear, and healthwear.
