Sustainability is big right now. Eco-friendly makeup products have beautiful benefits in store e.g. the fact that manufacturers only use organic ingredients to create them and as a result they are friendlier to your skin. But the question remains, does organic actually mean healthier and better for you? To answer this, we have to ask ourselves, what’s organic makeup?

Some classify eco-friendly makeup as something that is plant-based and based on natural minerals. Others are of the opinion that as long as there are no traces of synthetics, it can be declared as “organic”. The minimum requirement most people can agree on is that as long as no pesticides are used to manufacture the products, it can be advertised as an organic product. However, there are many experts and consumers who are convinced that a pesticide-free production alone does not suffice to label a product as “organic”.

As you can see, this topic still needs a lot of refurbishing. In order to give you a good start if you are interested in going completely green, I decided to bring with me a couple of awesome organic makeup products from eco-friendly brands.

Vapour Organic Beauty launched a multifunctional rouge product that will not only create a beautiful blush on your cheeks but also acts as an anti-inflammatory product thanks to lotus flower extract.

W3LL People’s Luminous Mineral Bronzer is known for creating a beautifully sun-kissed complexion whilst protecting and nourishing the skin with the joined forces of aloe vera, green tea and chamomile. My personal highlight however is by Dr. Hauschka. The translucent makeup contains moisturizing macadamia seeds and avocado oil. Those two are the key players that make your complexion look even and radiant.
