The prestigious Danish Academy of Design is situated in Denmark’s capital Copenhagen. Notable graduates of this academy are Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave (of Baum und Pferdgarten fame), who got to know each other at the academy. After graduation, they worked together and ended up founding their label. The pair hopes to grow together by challenging each other and slowly developing their unmistakable brand.
The entire world knows of their collections, which outfit women of fashion with chic and individual everyday wear. For their newly launched fall/winter collection 2015/16, the duo’s playful integration of new shapes into classic pieces has allowed the latter to fluorish yet again – boxy designs, round volumes and coquettish and sharp edges are all utilised.
But it doesn’t just end there. Varying patterns as well as a wide color palette also play an important role. Especially notable are the geometric compositions, which have found their place in this collection alongside zebra prints. This is where you find femininity paired with coolness, and sportiness refined with delicacy.
