I would call this a high profile line-up! If the Singapore Fashion Week 15 were a film, then it would be a blockbuster full of great movie stars and interesting new discoveries. And I absolutely mean it. The first glance at the Show Calendar shows a well-done mixture of shows by international and domestic designers and other events. On the whole, the event organizer appears to have invited less, but special designers to present their lines. Diane from Fürstenberg is one of the moderators at the first fashion talk of the season before she officially opens the Fashion Week with her autumn 2015 collection. In the fashion talks, influential people from the fashion industry come together and talk about the industry, the fashion and every other interesting topics. Another moderator will be Miroslava Duma who immediately struck me in my memory as the favorite photographer of many fashion week streetstyles.
On the same day, the L’oréal Professionel Hair Show will also offer something special to the beauty-craving guests when the most important hair-trends are presented. But the undeniably most important aspect of the Fashion Week is the fashion and I am particularly eager for it. Besides labels such as Dzojchen and Dion Lee, I will also be reporting on Thakoon. The designer has already caught my attention ever since his first steps in the fashion industry with the support of Anna Wintour. Nonetheless, the highlight is the show by Victoria Beckham which will conclude the fashion spectacle. In the past years she has demonstrated a knack for modern, minimalistic fashion and I am already excited about what she will be offering us this time.
