Lady Faith – this magical name bears the brand of designer, Nazli Soyu. Seductive is the delicate sound of the name which prompts us not to lose our belief in our womanhood. It is created by Nazli Soyi who has studied at the Parsons School of Design in New York. Back in Turkey, she gave birth to Lady Faith in 2011, a fashion line that is dedicated to the arts.
The prints are based on images that the designer drew herself. To her, it is all about eliciting individual feelings in every piece. In fashion, she has found another possibility of expression, which people can relate to through her artwork. In the summer collection of 2015, all the prints, in my opinion, radiate simplicity and include the pursuit for a happy, united world.
Adapted to the harmony of the artwork, the flowing incision of the fashion reminds me of the 70s. In the style of the hippies’ era, the womanly design simply convinces us through the wild explosion of colours in patterns. The collection cries out for infinitely long evenings around the campfire, with guitars and the best of friends. Other than that, it reminds me of festivals, summer, the sun, freedom and friendship…
The sophisticated artist surprised us in March with further art-filled fashion lines which she has presented at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Istanbul.
