Hey Beauties.
Welcome back to another edition of our weekly manicure hour here on Readthetrieb. Today I brought to you one of my most beloved looks: matte, red nails. I even experimented a little bit and came up with a slightly refined with golden dot details.
What you will need:
1x dark red polish
1x matte top coat polish
1x golden polish
1x dotting tool or the end of a brush
Step 1
For our “Little Miss Vixen” Tutorial, we’ll need a deep dark red nail polish. Take this to paint all of your nails.
Step 2
To achieve the gorgeous matte effect, get a matte topcoat. I usually use one by Essie and I could not be happier. But I know for sure that there are price-friendlier products in our local drugstores like DM and Rossmann as well.
Step 3
Now please leave your nails out to dry. You probably used a couple of coats to achieve the look you’re looking at right now, so you won’t regret having waited that extra five minutes, trust me!
Now that the matte nails are completely dry, take your Dotting Tool and dip it into the golden polish. Then begin placing one golden dot next to each other so it forms a line right at the bottom of your nail. As for the Accent Nail, I merely continued my line and painted a cross to create a more interesting look. You however can leave them as they are or create even more exciting forms on your nails. Be creative ! <3
